Bahamas Adventure Day Six: Exploring the Surrounding Water

We took the boat out for a bit and surveyed the surrounding water and sights until giving way to the windy seas and mooring the boat to explore on foot instead.  We suited up for a swim across the narrow channel to the uninhabited sand bar to the west and went on a long hike to its extents.

After the morning's exploration, we had soup and sandwiches for lunch and rested until returning to Seaside Village to relax and pay off our tab.  An osprey apparently named 'Iron' came to visit and we got some good photos of him:

Then it was back to our private beach for some time to read and chronicle our adventures and then started a fire to dispose of some perishables.  After that we enjoyed one of our most favorite treats that we brought - chips and salsa:
