Our Bahamas Adventure continued as we rode back to the airport, this time to the domestic terminal. We grabbed lunch while we waited and then boarded a smaller plane bound for Deadman's Cay airport. The plane circled once and I got a few shots of our ultimate destination. Soon after we landed our local host Noel, who I recognized from photos, found us and ushered us towards his truck.
We stopped at a little grocery store and I took a moment to reveal to Amy the big secret of where we were headed - a private island called Little Deadman's Cay that we would have all to ourselves for the next week. Amy was thrilled and impressed and said she couldn't believe it - an entire island? just for us? She was even more excited when I told her that it had solar and wind generated power. We grabbed what we thought we needed from the modest but sufficient selection at the grocer's and headed to the dock to be whisked away to our private paradise. You can see the house on our little 10-acre hideaway above right with a long sand bar in the background in a shot that I took from the plane.

Does that island have no permanent residents? Did you have to take all your food with you for the week other wise how would you get your food right? That's cool!
I'm so impressed, Scott. Nice work! I'm with Nicole... Did you buy all the food you needed at that little grocer's shop? Or had you brought some things with you from Texas?!? :) You really got the local experience. :)
